I am still interested!

There has been a Mittens-shaped hole in my soul for a few years now, and was bummed when the initial 2023 chat fizzled. Hoping we can rally enough to support a new adventure :)

It is definitely worth considering since we narrowed down to and agreed upon it in 2020, but it is good to keep ideas open depending on the interest we get. I am curious if that house is still being let at the moment, and if we could have our reservation with deposit reinstated  (laugh)  (laugh)

Count me in! I too was thinking of a time and post title to get the discussion going, but Snarky beat anything I had come up with :P

Will the AGS meetings never end?

I don't think so, they keep coming fast.

Magintz and Tier came to visit me in Saginaw/Chicago while on a month of USA holiday. I just dropped them off at Detroit Airport, but only after a week of goodies!

Drinking cafe and whatnots at the coffee shop where I spent 70% of my waking hours in my adolesence.

Gary sleeps on the train to Chicago, poor guy woke up at 5:30am  :-\

Halloween day at McFetridge Sports Center, where they had "Scary Skate" going

Wish you were here, at the Chicago River. Love, Magintz, Tier and Disco

I introduce my guests to 40s!

My non-geek friend Justina joined us for human piles on the final night of the visit.

Hmm, I just noticed that my right foot is off the ground in all four of those photos. I'm not sure why, maybe it is the more sensitive of the two :P.

What the hell, Disco? First shower pictures and now this..?

Hey, I'm a fan of avant-photography. It might seem random, but I actually put a lot of thought into these. Most of the time, I have the image in my head for up to a year or two before the photo, whether from a dream or just brainstorming.

Here are some studies I did last week.

The Latin Qviz one I plan to redo at university with a projector over us. It is also meant to be a wide photo, but my bedroom isn't large enough.

This one will be more at dusk than at night when I give it another go, after I have a haircut and acquire a more appropriate shirt.

Michigan has had it's first accumulating snow recently, and I think it is finally here to stay until spring if the weather holds. Feels a bit late, but honestly it is hard to remember what is allegedly normal weather patterns over the last four or so years.

Happy Holidays from Disco

June 26th was Pink Martini Day, a holiday invented by my sister and I in honour of one of our favourite bands, Pink Martini. We decided to celebrate it on June 26th since it was also a day we would see them perform in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

My sister Kayla (left) and our friend Melanie (right) getting ready to leave for the day.

Being the typical man, I have been ready for hours, but the apartment full of typical females did not see it that way. Apparently my green polo wasn't nice enough in the company of Melanie's tie-dyed skirt and my sister's dress bought on clearance, so my sister's roommate tries to find something "better" for me. No dice.

Drinking a blended juice at Seva, a vegetarian restaurant. I chose to combine celery and cantaloupe. It was righteous.

Oowmph!

Je ne veux pas travailler

So, since I was beaten to the "first clothesless AGSer in the photo thread" title by the spawn of Vince XII, I thought I would take a different angle. How about first to post shower pics? :P

setting up the camera

You may have seen that vintage video where a monkey washes a cat. Here a monkey washes a dude :D

Getting a little steamy. I had to stop and start the shower several times during this photo shoot to wipe the lens.

I look perhaps too happy here, or that I'm on drugs because there is no soap around my eyes. I suppose it's just that even I couldn't believe what I was doing.

Anyone scarred for life, feel free to blame Limping_Fish.

I went by Wal-Mart they had no body paint of any kind. So I picked up some of that snazzy hair-spray-paint...

Walmart would never sell something like that :P Anyways, you should have just used plain watercolor, it comes out alright, might stain a little though. On the other hand is quite hard to get consistent results :-\ I have photo examples of this of course. What the hell, I'll just go overboard on the photo thread. Hey! It's in the name of research  >:( leave me alone!

Me on the last day of high school. Yep, I went like that for the first hour. First and only time I used the school showers too. I had a blue-ish tint the entire day even after washing.

Here I tried unsuccessfully to paint myself black and lay on the hood of my car. I chalk it up to the paint set I had, the brown had more of a mahogany (sp) color to it.

EDIT
watercolor works okay in hair too, also for smaller details: http://www.lumpcity.co.uk/~disco/bullseye.jpg

P.S. Do you have a brother in Michigan called Kenneth who likes a lot disco music?

What is this, I look like another person on these forums? Geez, way to say I have a "common" look  ;D. Anyways, I guess I feel the need distinguish myself by dropping these two bombshells:

(You're welcome)

I thought it'd be fun to wear a Féileadh mór to this red carpet shindig. It proved quite a wise choice.
