So I'm looking for

cheap site hosting, with ASP.

I'd say godaddy but who knows, maybe you know some people who know some people who are even cheaper.

I use HostGator and I highly recommend them. Their plans are incredibly cheap, but offer good features on hosting.

Ryan Timothy: Regular expressions are also great for scenarios like that. Something like:

Code: ags

$new_str = preg_replace('/([^0-9]*?)([0-9]+?)([^0-9]*?)/i', '$1 inserta$2insertb #3', $old_str);

I'm sure it can be done way better than that, but it's just an example. Not even sure if it's faster and more efficient than Calin's methods.

I figure it's about time I post pictures of my kids. Here's my daughter, Lilah:

And my son, Lucas (in my shoes):

And, of course, me:

www.tubedubber.com does it for you online, but you can't save it as far as I know.

I get the reference, and it's an awesome tattoo, Cameron.

OK, this one will stump most of you, I'm sure. I'm remembering a song, definitely from the 1970s. It's an instrumental song, with a little bit of "funk" feel to it. I do remember that on Conan O'Brien's former show (Late Night) his band played it during the transition from monologue to first guest, I'm sure of it, so it might have been a hit once.

Either the band name or the song title had "Detroit" in it. I may be wrong, but for some reason "Detroit" sticks out in my mind. I wish I could find a clip, but hours of Googling brought up nothing. Even if I tried to hum it or vocalize it and have you all hear it, it wouldn't really sound right.

The best I can describe is a mostly "funk" feel to it, kind of fast-paced, entirely instrumental. I remember it from a cassette tape I used to have of classic rock songs from the 70s. Can anybody help?

Dayjob Orchestra does awesome lip-sync dubbings of videos, including Star Trek clips that are hilarious. These videos are awesome because the lip movements perfectly match the dubbed-over voices. ;D

You guys freak me out!!!

Thanks though. ;D It's funny how this week-old thread went unused until it was my day. ;) Thanks everybody! I turn a rather old 23 today.

On a related note, guess what I got for my birthday! A CAR THAT NEEDS A $600 REPAIR! I'm going to have to get a new car. I went car-shopping for the first time in 4 years, on my birthday of all days. :( Nobody called me to wish me a happy birthday either, and my own mother admitted that she forgot to buy me something, "like a t-shirt or something", in her own words. :P

Oh well, at least I know you guys care. :D Especially you, Disco. Nobody's ever made me a sign before. :)

Hey this is a pretty good idea, instead of a million "Happy barfday to meee!" threads :)

Oh, and when May 18th comes around, people had BETTER wish me a happy one ;)

You really need to learn scripting before you even attempt to make an AGS.

Erhm... you gots a little typo there Mr. Rich, methinks... :=

Heh, so I do. But yeah, I meant an AGS game, of course. ;)

You really need to learn scripting before you even attempt to make an AGS. Check the manual, check the many tutorials available for you from the AGS home page, do everything you can (even learning programming basics about C and C++) to learn about scripting. We won't always provide your script for you.

I have a site now:

http://www.terran-x.com/agsgames

It has a few "lost" games. I could've sworn I posted this already, but for some reason I can't remember where or when.

Oh. Pruning. Well then, sorry.

No.

But there seriously is an age minimum for buying anything? That's very odd to me, living where I do (U.S.).

The link for The Uncertainty Machine is defunct. Until it's fixed, I will be starting a page for defunct AGS Games links, where I mirror the games I already have...

As for Fatman, I have the CD version. I'll see what I can do about compressing it all and uploading it to my server space as well.

QfO is hilarious! "So you thought she is a virgin?!?!" See, now if there was a game like that, with a good story and dialog and action ;) then I'd definately play it.

Or maybe make it...

I wonder why QfO has "King's Quest IV" as the title. Maybe it was a little fun before working on a KQ4 remake? :P

Don't ask in this forum about ripping graphics. Read the rules. I am going to go through this thread now and weed it out.

Ah. I always get the two confused. Sorry! :P
