Quote from: Ian Scott on Sun 12/02/2023 12:53:21Many Thanks for doing an excellent job in revamping my clunky old game.
Kind Regards,
Ian.

Mr. Sccott!
Nice to see the author of the original Grandad game popping up here.
I had great fun revamping Grandad :)

Yes, you can't take something you haven't found first. This is also mentioned in the info/help section in the game.

Just uploaded v1.0.2 where the area to find the said item is improved. Savegames from previous versions should still work in v1.0.2.
#8
Alrighty, as s few people had difficulties finding these mags, I've improved that and uploaded v1.0.2:

Changelog:
v1.0.2 changed: redraw hotspot area for magazines, making them easier to find
(in the original game this 'hotspot' was quite small, so I improved it as I noticed several people were having a hard time finding it)
v1.0.1 fixed: final score not correctly displayed in endscene

Note:
Savegames from previous versions should be compatible with v1.0.2.

Quote from: OllieGee on Sat 14/01/2023 16:41:26I'm playing the second game now and can't progress past outside the New York airport... What a newb!
This is one funny game, but a little tricky to get into... Any help much appreciated. Cheers

Here a post from someone else from another forum that might contain some useful information for you:
Spoiler
TAKE EARRING after it falls onto the floor, GIVE EARRING to stewardess

TAKE LUBE from the House O' Porn

TAKE LIQUOR from street

TALK TO LENNY in Lenny's House of Weird Shit

Go back to Harry's Famous Pink Tacos and draw lightsaber by typing USE SWORD, (hit \[F8\] to swing) to kill ONLY TWO of the women, Must make sure the redhead is left, you need to stay away from her until she takes notice of the bodies. Now you can FUCK HER but only take the blowjob, decline the afterparty. It's safe to TURN OFF SWORD if you wish.

OPEN DOOR to Pink Taco and then TAKE TACO from the desk

Inside the Central Perk, GIVE LIQUOR to woman, then ASK FOR COFFEE, now FUCK WOMAN, decline marriage

to Lenny's House of Weird Shit and GIVE COFFEE, Type YES to offer your assistance to Lenny, TAKE POISON from the floor, Now GET IN MACHINE and USE MACHINE.

You are back at home in the original 'Fuck Quest'. GET OUT, OPEN DRAWER and TAKE MASK. GET IN MACHINE then USE MACHINE. Back in Lenny's, GET OUT.

KNOCK ON DOOR outside Jennifer's apartment. PUT POISON ON TACO, then GIVE TACO. Go in, climb up the stairs, PUT ON MASK and then KNOCK ON DOOR.

LOOK JENNIFER, TALK JENNIFER. Your rival enters, when Icabod has his sword readied, USE SWORD and hit him using \[F8\]. Once the battle starts, just time hitting UP or DOWN right after the swords clash. Keep doing that until the cutscene and enjoy the ending!

HAVE YOU TRIED...?

\-Choosing the wrong option at the end of each encounter with all 4 girls?

\-Giving a normal taco to the guard at Jennifer's door?

\-Getting killed by the lesbians?

\-Typing TURN OFF SWORD after the last lesbian offers you sex to survive?

\-Trying to KNOCK ON DOOR of Jennifer's apartment without the mask?

\-Going back into the House O' Porn after you've taken the lubricant?

\-Typing NO instead of YES in Lenny's backroom?

\-Eating a normal taco yourself?

\-Eating a poisoned taco yourself?

\-Typing TURN ON TV when traveling back to the past?

\-Hiding behind Jennifer when Icabod attacks in the final battle.

I'm not familiar with Waxworks from Digital Fantasia (1983) as that one has to my knowledge never been ported to DOS,
but I have played the dos version of WaxWorks from Accolade (1992) which has some slight similarities with the Accolade's Elvira adventures series.

Not sure if Digital Fantasia's and Accolades' Waxworks games are related (remake-ish?) or completely different standalone games.
(There's also a 2020 remake of Accolade's WaxWorks, called "Waxworks: Curse of the Ancestors" which I never played.)

Awesome! Absolutely love the theme, looking out for this one!

Quote from: Postmodern Adventures on Sun 15/01/2023 14:35:02FEATURES:
- Take a break during the gameplay and visit a theater to watch a silent movie or read horror stories in Rowan's Rare Books.
Now that's a great extra feature (nod)

Quote from: Ian Aloser on Sat 14/01/2023 13:24:31I played it to the end, great job, well done. I used a playthrough of the ATARI version :-)
Spoiler
Never would have found the xxx magazines, they were at a different spot in the bedroom

I actually made the area where you find these a bit wider compared to the original game, with the intention that they became easier to find. Somehow that didn't seem to work for you.

Back in 1992 the Atari ST version was a shareware game. You could play the first part for free but in order to open the grate to the catacombs a security code was required. You had to buy that  code which you would recieve by snailmail.
In this remake this code can be found somewhere, but grandad obviously has forgotten where...

As for the game length, it's a full length game and I think you might be able to beat it an hour or 2. Unless you get stuck on a puzzle. If so, there's a hints and tips thread for this remake :)

Quote from: Shadow1000 on Fri 13/01/2023 15:02:57I've been playing this game over the past 2 nights I'm wondering if I have to change something in the setup to get the sound or is there no sound in the game?

This remake features no music or sfx, same the original Atari ST version...

Quote from: roioros86 on Thu 12/01/2023 16:26:06Hi!, thank you very much for this remake, it looks fantastic, great job.

I would like to know if there is any walkthrough in text (not video), I was looking for it but I did not find any.
Thank you, hope you will enjoy it!

A walkthrough for the original game can be found but the remake has some differences so some parts of the walkthrough won't work. There's no walkthrough available yet for this remake.

If any questions, you can always open a thread in the hints and tips section on this forum.

Quote from: heltenjon on Thu 12/01/2023 13:33:28What are these? Most of the games listed looks like titles in the database, although it would be nice if sincaruk could check on playthrough (if you're going to play the games anyway).

one clue: the cd-rom was burned in 2005, so these 24 ags games are for sure 'oldies'.
