"Door" is correct

Seriously?  A forum full of game makers and players and no one else comes up with riddles anymore?  Okay, here's one for you:

With it you can breach the thickest walls,
You can escape the strongest cage,
You can exit anyplace
But will always enter another.

What is it?
#3
Yes, it's the Year.
#4
No it was pretty specific to the time when I posted the riddle.
#5
Always glad when it comes, always glad when it goes.  What is it?
#6
Too quick.  You got that one way too quick.
#7
Okay here's a new one:

The luckiest gas station/convenience store in Vegas.

Okay, since nobody got it, the location of the crime is: Police Headquarters room 101.

The reasoning:
"I'll tell you no tales" = the quarters are all heads hence them being head quarters.
A penny is made of copper = "copper" is another word for police officer.
Four quarters and a penny make 101 cents = room 101.

I'm sure a number of you knew the answer already but in all seriousness do you think you would've ever figured it out without it being explained to you?
#9
Unfortunately, that's not right.  Your thinking is on the right track for one part of it, but the answer is very specific.

This is one I got off a TV show and I don't want anyone who already knows the answer to answer it.  My real goal here is to find out of anyone would really be able to figure it out.  You have one week.

A crime is going to be committed.

At a payphone you get a call and are told.
"Ask me no questions, I'll tell you no tales."
After you hang up the phone four quarters and a penny drop out.

Where will the crime take place?

The first one was answered correctly with Pearl.  As far as the second, they're good guesses but still wrong.  The answer is not just the word with a number replacing a letter.
#12
No, nobody got it right.  You were on the right track before, it is only a word meaning "total destruction" but spelled in a creative way.

And I note nobody has tried for the first riddle yet.
#13
No not quite.  Good guess though.

1. I am very irritating, so much that one who made me didn't want me.
But someone wanted me so bad, I was torn from my maker,
And a fortune was paid so that I could be kept close.
What am I?

2. Spell total destruction using only three letters and a number.

Very good, his name was Jason Price.  However, it would be neat for the others to see your reasoning.
#16
Stupot got his last name but his first name is in there too.
#17
Not even close.  This is not based on Silent Night, Deadly Night.

On the American Independence Day Penelope was murdered
In August Roy was killed
On Labor Day Ibsen met his untimely end.
People thought they were safe till on Halloween Carl died.
Everyone could be thankful on thanksgiving because the murder was caught in the act of trying to kill Emily.

What was the murderer's name?

Light bulb is correct
#20
Star is incorrect.
